MTV Networks International has announced a three-year deal with the government of Malta to host a free summer music concert.

Getting club promoters to bite on a relatively unknown band isn’t always easy. But in the case of Atlas Sound, the solo project of Deerhunter vocalist Bradford Cox, some talent buyers quickly snagged a show from the act’s current North American trek, based on Deerhunter’s past reputation for drawing healthy-sized concert crowds.

I’ve been getting misleading information and reports saying both that The Killers wrote the song and lyrics (and Lou Reed only helped sing it) and then the other way around. What the hell? Who did this? The music sounds like the Killers but the lyrics seem like Reed, is that what’s going on?

Can someone help me out?
