Book your gigs, tell the world!

Bands and artists always have to look at the other side of the coin. You make great music, you’re a great live band and have lots of energy. A fat lot of good that does if no one knows about you!

Most bands rely on word of mouth, friends and family to promote themselves. You might find some bands take it a step further and plaster ads and stickers everywhere to get the word out. Sometimes that can backfire, and you’ll get a phone call from the city operations office with a bill for the clean up of your posters. Not good.

Often, bands resort to flyers on windshields, or selling tickets the night of their gig to the passers-by. It’s time to step it up!

Use the power of the internet. Use the Social Powers of the masses. Social bookmarking, social sharing and social networking are the way to go!

About The Project:
Gigitt is a site uniquely designed for users to fulfill their musical needs.
This site benefits fans, bands and venues. Due to the youth of this site, our programmers are
consistently renovating and adding new features to help users gain more access and knowledge
to Gigitt.
Please visit as often as possible to give feedback and witness the development of a new music
world in the making.

Fans:

Giggit-registered Fans play a major role in deciding which bands will play at what venues.
Fans get a voice in where their favorite bands play. For instance, once a venue posts an opening
for a show, the fans get to see what venue the bands have applied for and determine who they want
to hear play that venue.
The bands with the most votes gained will be the final line up for that venue. Ultimately, the
voting and the final decision are left for the Fans and Venues.

Bands:

Band members who sign up for Gigitt will be able to create an individual profile, upload tracks,
and view other venue options to broaden their playing schedules.
This site gives each individual band a chance to let their passion shine and grow on stage.
Band members can apply for the venues they want to play through Gigitt.
All approved shows help build a bands online show history, which will consist of:
compilation tracks, comments from fans and venues, pictures, ratings, contact info, etc.
All the following will be accessible to the band members when they apply; thus, improving their
goal at achieving towards the next big gig.

Venues:

Venues play a significant role in Gigitt. They will be able to collaborate with bands as well
as other fellow venues. They are the first to know when the gig starts, what kind of show it will
be and the number of people attending.
In determining what bands they want to play, venues base their selection on the votes of the fans.
After each show, venues will rate the performance of the bands to help strengthen publicity for future shows.
