I play classical and acoustic guitar.

Hey guys ummm, I play acoustic guitar and I wanna learn some more songs on it but, I cant think of any good ones.
Im into Rock, 80’s, 70’s Ect. Could anyone give me some idea’s…A song or to.. a list? Haha =]

Im a beginner to guitar, and im learning a song (worried about ray) but it says to play it in A flat. what does this mean???? and how do i do it???? please help!! oh, and also, i have an electronic tuner, and im not sure what frequency to put it at (whatever that means). i can put it between 430 and 450, is 440 right??? i want to make sure im in tune!!!

I keep hearing people attack kids for playing guitar hero, or finding out songs like bark at the moon and one because of guitar hero… So f*cking what?! alot of these songs came out before 50% of it’s fanbase was even born, plus the mainstream pretty much quit on rock. So I think it’s cool that a game like that is bringing kids to Rock.

What’s the big deal? They play guitar hero for a few years then beg their parents for a real guitar.. I’ve seen it happen more than once in the past few years and I think that’s positive.

Another thing.. alot of these loser 20 somethings talking sh*t feel they have the right to play it because they are ‘educated metalheads’, so you have to learn about metal to then have the priviledge of playing guitar hero?
SaraBerra - I completely agree, I think some of the biggest posers are the one’s who start not to like a band just because they start to get some attention. That makes a HUGE poser, because you never really like the band that much. They just liked that they could name drop and impress equally poser friends

I want to learn playing guitar but i have no idea how to start with. Can i learn it by myself without going to any music school. plz provide me some good website addresses which is gonna be really helpful for beginners to learn the techniques. Which guitar is best to play for learning, someone told me to buy Gibson but i am not sure.

Person is selling a guitar but I can’t see it until I’m ready to buy, (distance reasons) He gave me the model but i can’t find anything on google maybe i’m not looking right or it’s a crap model I don’t know. Hello (: me and my sister play guitar and we find it really hard to pick songs to play cause most of the time we pick really hard ones which we totally dont get in the end! so please if you know any good songs that arent too hard to learn please name them thanks =D !!x

I am currently learning guitar and a bit of synth and keyboard, but I do it for a hobby not for a career. I want a career in music, but just not as a musican so waht choices do I have? No classical, jazz options. I like indie, rock, some RnB e.g Sam Sparro, The Kooks, Foals, Paramore etc.

Is the guitar or mandolin easier to learn. Should you get a 4 or 8 string mandolin. I saw one in a shop a used shop 8 string mandolin with electric pickups for less then 100.
anyway I played brass several years ago but never tried strings. Thanks for the help
