Promoting your band with myspace!
ok, not exactly a rockstar subject, but promoting your band is essential. Social networking is a great tool to help utilize the power of the people. These very same people are where rockstars get their fans, so why not tap into this resource?
Myspace band pages are hugely popular, and it’s not rocket science getting your band listed. You of course have to let the world know your band exists. Aside from great songs, production, album art and musicians, you need some eye candy. Your band page has to pop! Out of the box, myspace pages are pretty boring, so you need to spice them up and customize them to your band’s theme. There are many myspace templates, some free and some not.
In the latest trend of web 2.0 sites, a site called real editor has some great layouts.
These are a sample of the free layouts available. You can also select from backgrounds, or photos for your myspace layout.
